The short version: The HelmCNC phone pendant talks only to your own PC over your local network. There are no accounts, no cloud servers, and no data collection. Nothing you do leaves your own devices.

The HelmCNC pendant (iPhone and Android) is a remote control for the HelmCNC desktop software running on your own computer. It connects to that computer directly over your local Wi-Fi network.
It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account or sign-in. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. It does not use cloud servers — there is no HelmCNC server for it to talk to. Everything stays between your phone and your PC on your own network.
On iOS, the app asks for the Local Network permission. That permission is used for one purpose only: to find and connect to your PC on your Wi-Fi. If your phone's camera is used to watch the cut, the video is shown live on your phone and is never uploaded or recorded by us.
HelmCNC on the desktop runs offline. Its only network activity is one-time license activation: when you enter your license key, the app contacts our payment and licensing provider, Freemius, to verify it. That request contains your license key and a hashed identifier of your controller board, and nothing else. After activation the software continues to work offline.
Purchases are handled by Freemius, our merchant of record. When you buy a license, Freemius collects the information needed to process the payment (such as your name, email, and billing details) under Freemius's own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details.
This website does not run advertising or cross-site tracking. We may keep basic, aggregate visit counts to understand traffic, but these contain no information that identifies you personally.
HelmCNC is a tool for operating machinery and is not directed at children.
